How many times were we held less than 20 points this year? These two brilliant announcers are wondering how come you don't get the ball to Johnson. Of course we all know the reason, in 4 years of recruiting the best Gailey could get at QB is Reggie. Let's sign'em up for another 5 years, and let's extend Braine's contract while we're at it. Look'in like a long year in 06 because I think Reggie is actually getting worse and that is just as much his coaches fault as his

Not totally disagreeing, but remember a Jason Campbell at Auburn? This comes down to OC.OC.OC.

Sorry to disagree, but it always comes down to HC, HC, HC. Everyone and everything else is his responsibility.

True enough, but Reggie is not now, never has been, never will be accurate enough, poised enough, good enough to be a division one quarterback. We have witnessed first hand what superior coaching and quarterbacking can do for a team that is basically undermanned and ahem, not athletic enough.

Reggie Ball's Napolean Syndrome mania is the only thing that has kept him in this sport. He might have it on the practice field, but he does not have it at game time.

Just because our other quarterbacks get beaten on the practice field by him doesn't mean that they won't come to life during gametime. I just can't believe we didn't see Taylor Bennett tonight. I mean, why the h*** not? Reggie was doing nothing but slipping and sliding.

He is an embarrassment and I've always had a hard time getting behind him. It's been a steady decline since Auburn '03. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

If CG were to hire a truly qualified OC then he would be shown up for the O incompetence the last 4 years. CG will not allow that to happen to him, regardless of how it hurts the school or kids.

Don't blame Reggie.

1. We refuse to throw over the middle. This makes us very easy to defend, since our scheme takes away a big portion of the defense's responsibility. This is an NFL mentality that Gailey needs to lose. By contrast, Utah's first 3 TD's were passes over the middle.

2. For the fourth straight year, our OL has not improved at pass blocking from game one until the bowl. Coach D for Coach Mac was the worst personnel decision at GT since Spurrier was let go.

Letting Spurrier go was not a mistake, as he was gonna go somewhere anyway. The mistake was not hiring him last year when he decided to get back into college football.

Probably not...though money talks, right? The point is, the Gailey supporters who have kept saying that it takes years to build a program need only look at a coach like Spurrier. The right coach can infuse life in an almost-dead program immediately, beat some teams that they "shouldn't beat", and then he has a program to sell to potential recruits. Success breeds success. We need some of that.
