Gailey "we\'re going to build our team on speed"

He said this repeatedly says Brian Murphy in the Macon Telegraph. This reporter gets more quotes from Gailey & staff than all other reporters combined & multiplied by 2.

"We will build our team on speed"

I hope he means big and fast for DTs. Light and fast hasn't gotten the job done for some time, right GO'L?

Interesting,he remarked at the speed we had when he got here and DIDN"T seem to use effectively much.

& we thought we were heavily recruiting Texas. Ha. We have 3 coaches assigned to Fla (Nix, Spencer & Raye) & will add a 4th this coming season. It certainly appears that Florida is our state of choice for recruiting.
That's fine by me. Fla is a border state, with a long border, & produces the 3rd most div1a players in the country. They do this with only 4 div1a teams. The reason is that schools come from across the country for the speed & talent in Fla & many, many players have not minded, for many yrs, to leave the state. Fla has always been good to us, we just haven't gotten as many from this state as we should have. Perhaps we will now.

The biggest positive I see for emphasising in state recruiting is fan support.

Hitting Fl.and Tx. hard and doing it successfully doesn't bother me one bit.
