Do you actually know something or are you guessing the Dolphins job is a done deal now that Little Schottenheimer is out of the running?

Looks like it is Gailey or Mora.Leaning towards Gailey.PLEEEEEASSSSE be Gailey.

GEETEELEE, I don't know if you are actually serious about this thread but it's looking like that is actually going happen.

I've been told we shall know in the next 48 to 72 hours. A plan has been put in place if Chan leaves.

If they are not promoting from within, aren't they required to go through a formal interview process?

I wouldn't think they would be required at this late of a date. Recruiting is huge and D Rad already has his name or names. It may just be formality but he already knows who he wants.

I didn't know if there would be any equal opportunity issues.

I had not thought about this, but maybe it is possible to conduct the selection process, with the proper mix confidentially.
I do see where this might be impossible in a PC world though.

According to NFL rules, NFL teams must interview a black candidate no matter what. Miami interviewed something like a dozen candidates in the first round, so I'm guessing that's taken care of.

Edit: I'm a dumbass. I see you're talking about Tech's hiring process.

As for as the NCAA, I haven't heard of any specific rules such as the NFL one above.

I think we are all the same about what is really going on! :laugher:

If CG gets out of coaching, I look for him to be at the main table of The World Series of Poker very, very soon.

I don't think we have anything to worry about in that regard. Both Louisville and Tulsa acted very quickly with outside hires.

OK, I'll come clean - I have no inside knowledge. I read a lot and talk to a lot of people and I'm extrapolating what I think is the most likely outcome based on the gestalt of what I've taken in. It sorta was like an epiphany that popped into my punkin head. A leap of intuition, if you will. The kind 20oz Bulldog claims to have quite often. Except I rarely have these occur. And unlike our favorite bullmutt, I'll readily admit I was wrong. But like him, I'll not let y'all soon forgit if I was RIGHT!!!!! :D

And, I think we'll know soon, likely tomorrow.

Heh, apparently Tulsa hired the Rice coach THREE DAYS after he signed a contract extension with Rice. That makes Saban look downright faithful to the Dolphins.

Would not be surprised if formal interview process is already completed.

DRad is no fool, and he will in some way capitalize on this situation.

The Nix-haters must be freaking out about the possibility of Fisher coming here as head coach.

Yeah, but at least Fischer got decent results out of Nix in the past.

??? Why? Maybe I'm dense, but I don't understand....

Edit: OH, I see - Fisher was Nix's coach....
