It's amazing how much you can see with a VCR remote and a little time watching the plays on tape. Here's what became obvious after watching the film of the 1st quarter.....
1. Our offensive line is a force. It's no wonder we continue to have success in the running game. Physically, they dominated to a man with the blocking.
2. ACE is a very good running back. Yeah the holes were there but ACE has great vision to see the right ones to take and runs very hard north/south.
3. Gailey is a very good coach. He developed a great game plan for UNC.
4. Defensively, we were blowing huge holes in their offensive line putting big pressure on Durant....but for the life of me I couldn't figure out why our linebackers weren't dropping on 3rd down and long. We got killed over the middle. Our lineman were getting great pressure on Durant but our linebackers were standing around waiting for somebody to come out of the backfield. If we drop our linebackers, half the big plays they had would have either been sacks, incomplete passes, or picks. God I hope we fix that because aside from that, our Defense looks AWSOME.
6. Suggs is gaining confidence and really improving.
7. Bilbo looked very good but clearly needs some seasoning.
8. This team plays HARD every play and they play as a TEAM. Great "chemistry" or Esprit de Corps or whatever you want to call it. They really fight hard together for each other.

I'm very encouraged about the prospects of this team going forward.

Agree with all your points... good post

Nice points Buzzilla.

How many of you tape the games you watch either on tv or in the stands, then later watch it in detail.

A friend and I enjoy watching the tape, rewinding, slowing the frames, and stoping frames.

It's probably enough to drive any normal person crazy. A lot of fun though.

I totally agree!!! We are playing better as a team. Go jackets!!!

"WAKE up its time to beat the deacons, Jackets!!!

I think the reason we didnt drop the LB's was to keep Durant from running.

I think that was a big concern coming into the game.

Thanks for the review Buzzilla. I did see some big holes in the defensive line of Carolina all game. Sounds good.
