Boy, are you going to be disappointed next week. One of the bright spots of every game was reading comments during and after the game. An additional bonus was being able to point out the ones who scream like bitches at the drop of a hat before we end up winning (myself included).
Now we deep-six the game threads in favor of using something that most of us younger folks put away in the 90's after hours upon hours of trying to find some girls who'd send a boob pic or two and never-ending a/s/l inquiries, in order to cover for our lack of ability to withstand a few extra people making comments and refreshing their browsers.
It is kinda like our football team. We love to think that because we have a nice façade and can hang with the best of them on occasion, but when it is time to put peter-to-pad against the big boys, we get our dicks pushed in.
But also, just like our football team, I am an outsider and I really don't know what is going on behind closed doors nor do I know how many people are simultaneously trying to access the site but I want to bitch about having a clue and what I'd do different...as if that really matters.
But, to me, all it really comes down to is this: Long live the game threads!
