Georgia Tech running back Kaleb Edwards’ playing career has come to a premature conclusion. Edwards, who has played two seasons for the Yellow Jackets, announced on social media Monday that he had elected to medically retire.
“All good things must come to an end,” Edwards wrote from his Instagram account. “I have made the tough decision to medically retire from football.”

A member of the 2021 signing class from Dacula High, Edwards played 10 games as a freshman in 2021 as a defensive back and nine games last season, making a total of 24 tackles. He switched over to running back late in the 2022 season.
