Al was just a great human. I used to run into him at CNN Center back in the big 80s and he was never to busy to stop and talk GT. Always had a smile and a good word.

God do i miss Al, Mister GT and one fine human being. A quality person and high character.

This is from a VHS tape from 1992, about Georgia Tech athletics, and also GT's role in the Olympics. It was called "100 years of GT Athletics" or something like that.
I'll upload the whole thing someday soon, it was just going to take too long to put on Youtube before I went to work.

I’ve always thought the gold in those uniforms/helmets is Georgia Tech gold.

Just old enough to remember when Wes Durham followed him as the voice of the Jackets.

As a fan of radio I loved Al’s calls - wish I could have heard more.
