I got so frustrated reading this article. I'm glad Paul Johnson isn't on the news every night talking about something on the team. There are avenues that he gets the word out, maybe this guy just wasn't invited to the radio show or something.

I always get annoyed though listening to the 10 second clip of Mark R on the news talking about how much of a struggle this weekends game is going to be, to then get on there after they win by 50 and say "wow, you gotta give it to our guys out there....what heart."

give me a break.

Here's an analogy comparing new-comers to the media.

Paul Johnson is to Sarah Palin as Barack Obama is to ........... (you fill in the answer here).

If I remember correctly this is something that Radakovich was going to change. Wayne Hogan said last year,

"Georgia Tech, from what I can gather, has been a very closed society,” he said. “We’ve been borderline elitists. We’ve spent most of our time here on the corner of Bobby Dodd Way and Techwood Drive, and that’s where I think our rival has done a better job than us. If you go out in this city and go to the sports banquets, the Touchdown Clubs, there’s Damon Evans, Mark Richt, Larry Munson. Georgia does a great job of being out there. We need to do that.”

I've noticed Johnson, Radakovich, the players and many other folks related to Tech seem to be on the radio and tv more since Rad came on board.....?

I was thinking Mark Richt....

The media is bashing her, while Obama is their love-child. Likewise, they are hating on Johnson while Richt is the savior of all things Georgia sports related.

I see only ONE complaint by the guy and that's that GT won't let them park their vans wherever they want. If CPJ doesn't want to let his players at the Luncheon, that is his prerogative.

Damn, all this because you can't find parking? Retards, welcome to a big city.

Kyle, seriously, do you have a positive thing to say about anyone or anything? I want you to come by our tailgate at the MSU game so we can do some serious counseling.

Guys, I don't the background with this guy but it sounds to me that here is a frustrated guy trying to reach out. His comments about UGA, in the same article, are not always flattering.

We've heard this issue over and over again. Maybe he's right? I'm surprised to hear that he can't put his TV truck right there in Heisman Circle for an hour. If he can't get any player access, then he has the right to moan about it. And not every reporter can get to post practice sessions I'd think.

We should be bending over backwards, unless of course, he really is the enemy in disguise. But even then you "stay close to your enemies".

I think it is pretty simple, if you want coverage you have to play the game. If you don't, then don't complain. Who out there in a sales capacity agrees with this concept?

Not sure what media you are looking at, but pretty much every media outlet loves Paul Johnson. Some think we will be mediocre this season, but everyone seems to agree that we will become an elite team a few years down the road. Even everybody's favorite reporter, Mark Bradley, wrote a couple articles on how he thinks GT is going to be very successful under Johnson.

this is purposely not supposed to be a board about politics, so this really has no place on this board (go to the Other section of the board)

but here an answer to your (not so good) question: PJ is to Palin as Obama is to GW Bush

btw, the media have been lauding PJ, so i dont know what you are talking about. just b/c they questioned his o, that was to write articles not to slam the guy

oh, and most of these writers were FOR PJ before they were AGAINST him

From Fred Kalil's blog, in the comment section:

I FORGOT TO ADD GEORGIA MAKES NO LESS THAN 3 PLAYERS AVAILABLE AT ITS WEEKLY MEDIA LUNCHEON. TECH... ZERO AVAILABILITY.

That's probably because our players are in class.

This seems like a stupid, pointless blog post about an annoying, pointless blog post by some jackoff sports reporter who is mad that he couldn't park his van and can't find the caps lock.

Its sports reporters here right? These guys are on the front lines of the losing war to New Media and will be completely irrelevant within the next decade unless they learn to adapt.

I just assumed they were bitching about the lack of an all you can eat buffet and the declining popularity of Hawaiian shirts and moved on.

Please repost here. I would like to see how you owned him...
