A total of 17 transfers have now officially joined Georgia Tech football this offseason! “I’m excited to welcome four more remarkable young men to the Georgia Tech football family,” Collins said. “They will all help address immediate needs and add outstanding depth to our roster this season and are great fits in our locker room and our community. I can’t wait to get to work with each of them.” Coach Collins said he and his new staff “did a whole evaluation of everything we do in the organization since December." "We’ve made tweaks, we’ve made improvements,” he said.

Georgia Tech Football Transfer Profile: Dylan McDuffie

In the 2021 season, McDuffie finished with 1,049 rushing yards with four 100-yard rushing games. McDuffie is a physical back and will bring that kind of element to the Yellow Jackets' offense. This was one of the best additions through the transfer portal that the coaching staff made and he will have an impact from day one. It is clear that he is going to play a huge role in the Georgia Tech offense this season, whether he starts or not.

Georgia Tech Football Transfer Profile: Zach Gibson
"My conversations with Coach Collins were great. I'm bought in with him, his process, and honestly just ready to get to work. I committed to him when I was there on the visit, but had to wait until I was accepted into the school and everything before I could actually go public with it. Coach Long told me that he sees a lot of Ian Book in my game and told me that I would have the opportunity to come in and compete right away, and that's exactly what I plan to do." - Zach

"The defensive line coach, David Turner, his message to me is that they want me to play. That's exactly what I am coming to Atlanta to do. I have areas I still want to improve in, but I feel like I can be a bully with my strength, and start for these guys. This is my time. There are some good football players in this bunch. I didn’t realize the TE from Syracuse had 4.4 speed - that is outrageously fast for a big dude.

Gotta admit, it’s going to make it harder for us fans (even the die-hards) to keep up with who the heck plays for our team.

I hate what cfb has become over the last few years. Maybe it gets turned around somewhere down the road.
