Way too much sandy vag on the board today. We are in year 1.5 of a complete rebuild, there was always going to be some pain. So can we please stop with the Dear Facebook letters and meaningless comparisons of how many points we let BC score compared to others. CGC isn't going anywhere for a long time. Get over it.

Really 1 full year of Collins recruits. We honored most of Johnson's commits year 1.

Dude I’m with you for the most part, but something is going on here that warrants discussion. This team is better than the results on the field these past two weeks. Do you disagree?
There needs to be a Ross style coming to Jesus meeting. Ross told the team they would either play hard or he would leave. Our players left over from Curry said themselves they were quitting on Ross. After the blow up, those players humbled themselves and we got better.

I don't know what is going on, but this team is not playing as a team. It is obvious on defense especially. When an opposing QB can throw to a wide open TE, with 5 GT players in the picture, something is wrong. He was the only offensive player in the area and was wide ass open.

Spot on. Collins is recruiting on a level we haven't seen since O'Leary. Patience is a virtue. Gotta give him time. My guy knows how to market the program!

We were never going to compete with Clemson so that final doesn't really bother me.

As far as BC, the Gibbs TD brought back on a flag followed by a questionable fumble returned for A TD was the killer.

I didn't watch many games last year as it was a true year 0 as many talked about. I've enjoyed watching this year 1 group show some flashes of the future.

How many P5 schools are running out a true freshman RB/QB combo?

Again I agree, but you aren’t concerned with the mistakes made on the field today?

Problem is continually losing hurts recruiting.

See my post from the apology thread. The players on this team are playing for individual accolades like jersey numbers, getting to do the uniform reveal, chaos creator tweets, and writing their twitter handle on a whiteboard. This is the coach’s problem because he fosters that environment with a lot of stupid motivational stuff.

it’s time to get rid of all of that. Everything is team or nothing for this year. No more of that stuff. No more names on jerseys. No GTs on helmets until earned as a team.

The offense has shown some encouraging signs. The defense looks terrible. If we're going to look this bad defensively, it should be with young guys taking their lumps, not juniors and seniors who look like they haven't practiced all season.

I agree. Play the young guys

I see a lot of players who are serious about being high end players with pro aspirations. I also see others who have the all to common “poor me” attitude. Each player simply needs to be accountable to themselves. If you jump offsides, false start, or commit pass interference that’s a “you” problem and not a coaching problem. When you drop a snap that’s a “you” problem.

It‘s one thing to get beat due to talent. That’s a coaching decision to play those guys, but there is no reason for a D1 player to make middle school mistakes. Gibbs, Brown, and Mason obviously take their football careers seriously. They don’t act a fool. They just line up and play. We need more guys to emulate their attitude. If we just stop giving away penalty yards and cut the turnovers in half we’ll be alright.

The game got out of hand so quickly that it didn't end up mattering much, but Gibbs and Mason are a great 1-2 punch, and any OC worth a damn will tailor the offense around them. Gibbs is great in space, whereas Mason is a bruiser. We should be feeding them early and often, using them in two-back sets, in the screen game, putting Gibbs in the slot, etc.
