I think Duke beats us again this year. Sad, but true.

Tashard Choice just txt me and told me to tell you to take that pic and burn it and take that jersey and give it to a kid that deserves to wear it.

If we were coming off a win, maybe, but we're coming off a loss.

I doubt it. Dook is ready for hoops. I'd be surprised if they remember they even have a game on Saturday.

What's that got to do with it?
Actually, if we were coming off a win against VPI I'd feel better about our chances against Puke.

We typically feel the need to win after a loss. It comes from motivation.

Get Ready folks, we're going to beat Duke. That is all. There I feel I've contributed just as much to this thread as the one who started it.

This thread continues to convince me that GT fans do not watch other teams play, and therefore, GT fans know little to nothing about college football.

Duke was leading Clemson after 20 minutes. Duke has a very good QB and a very good WR. Both could start for GT. If Duke gets a lead against us, it could be a long day.

Clemson's offense was good enough to come back and score points in bunches against a bad Duke defense. Gailey and company are capable of holding our offense back and making Duke's defense look OK.

Duke's passing offense is good enough to score 20 points on GT. Any team that can score 20 on GT has a chance to win, because Gailey might not score 20 if the other team didn't show.

I am not predicting a Duke win, but it is not out of the question.

Great point jacketup we have struggled against strong QB's this year but I think we out athlete Duke and control the ball with TC regardless of potential for re-injury. I don't see a blowout but we will win

I think the college football world will gather at the end of the game and determine, for the first time in sports history, that both teams legitimately deserve to lose.

Actually, GT will roll after amassing like 300 yards on the ground...

Yeah - you had a very thorough and well thought out opinion. Or maybe not.

If you feel that strongly I will gladly bet you $1000 with 4:1 odds in your favor on the outcome of this game. It's way better than what Vegas will give you. PM me if interested.

Alright, guys, now that I've been lambasted for my opinion, I'll change it. We win by 35.

You'll be hard pressed to find a more die-hard fan than me, but I think Duke has the tools to beat us, especially considering how many inferior teams have done so the last few years. Motivation? Why does it take a loss to motivate our team? Shouldn't they already be motivated?

I think you're getting lambasted due to your lack of explanation. What are these tools you speak of? Elaborate.

Plus, I'm with GTKyle on this one. Our teams in recent memory seem like they have to get embarrassed to remove all expectations. Then they're free to play as the scrappy underdog (not that we would be in this case). I feel like, in the back of everyone's heads, they think it likely that we'll lose to Duke and UNC and then turn around to beat UGag. It's the GT way!

If you're an example of the canChan crowd, your thinking was wrong. I wonder what else it is wrong about? Your opinion was duly noted and as with the rest of the Buzzoffers, you will disappear until the next loss. What a life, emphasize every negative and bury your head in the sand with every positive.
