The state football championships are at Center Parc Stadium (that's Georgia State's stadium, and it's funny, because parking there sucks. But I digress), and Friday at 3:30 p.m. is Benedictine, alma mater of more than a few GT players, and Cedartown, with assistant coach Qua Searcy.
An Eddie Lee Ivery is also on the staff at Thomson, which is in the AA final against Fitzgerald. Don't know if that's Sr. or Jr.

I have not been home in years but I sure it is Sr.
 
You might want to watch the 7A championship and see the freshman phenom at qb for Carrollton.. He already has offers from everyone, including Tech. He is making everyone forget Goldielocks. The kid is legit.

Benedictine up on Cedartown 14-13, runs a fake punt on their own 20 with 3:00 left, don’t get the first down. Cedartown gets down to the 2, run four plays and don’t score. Wild finish.

Blank doubled the rental price for 2 days when they moved from the Dome to Mercedes Benz. GHSA took the less expensive alternative and moved the state championships to Turner Field. It sucks… especially since taxpayers have paid $700M to construct and maintain the stadium.

It seems like the GHSA could have increased the price of admission. People from small towns in Georgia got a real kick out seeing their kids play at the dome. They wouldn’t mind paying more for a once in a lifetime thing.
