Give me your "Expect to see"\'s for this week

Please, no discussions of CG or John Tenuta and their abilities/inabilities, etc.

I will start:
1. I expect to see Tech try to stretch the field on offense by consistently throwing deep to Jonathan Smith and Nate Curry.
2. I expect to see D. Bilbo catch his first pass this week. Personally, I think it will be a lateral and he may/may not throw the ball down field after the catch.
3. I expect to see Tech NOT stack 7 - 8 men in the box very often due to Clemson's no-huddle offense and their propensity to throw rather than run. (I believe this may be the first true test of Tech's passing defense).
4. I expect to see Clemson throw the ball 2 times for every 1 time they run it.
5. I expect to see ACE rush for 80 yards this game.
6. I expect to see Reggie Ball break at least one run for 20+ yards.

Now...anyone else care to predict?

I agree with the whole statment.
Wish to add I expects to see:
A few more John Deere tractors than the Aulburn game. (Deere sells better in SC than LA.)
More Ford dullies rather than the Dodge Ram Pickem ups.
A few More Real Tech Fans at the Game and Tail gateing.
And I do expect to make my 8:50 tee time on Sunday to discuss the previous nights highlights with my Clempson golfer.

My crystal ball says..

Clemson will throw ALOT.. 40 times at least, due in part to the fact that they can't run, they try 25 running plays but net less than 50 yards, and the fact that we jump on them early and they play catch up most of the day

Tech will run the ball 45 times..passing 25 times.. Ball will be 13-25 for 140 yards.. we will have 155 yards total rushing

We will control the clock in this game with a difference of 10 minutes in total time of possession

We will be plus one in the turnover department

We will be called for pass interference 3 times, but will pick off Whitehurst twice.. Ball will not be intercepted

Clemson will attack our corners and try and match up a TE against our LB's.. throws to the TE over the middle like BYU did.. we will get burned twice on deep balls..

Our blitz scheme will not be as aggressive due to the passing of Clemson.. look for more of a nickle package look most of the day..

We will not run the option much, if at all.. we will pound between the tackles.. sprinkled with mis-direction plays. Bilbo will get the call on a reverse..

We will complete a deep pass, but most will be 10-15 yards near the sidelines..

I expect to see smoke coming from our smoker by 10am.

I expect to smell BBQ ribs by 3pm.

I expect to drink lots of beer during the day, and switch to Beam and coke for the evening festivities.

I EXPECT TO SEE LOTS OF LOUD GT FANS IN THE STADIUM, EARLY!!!!!

I expect to see plenty of disappointed Clemson fans on I-85 heading north at 11pm.

Most of all, I expect more solid play from our much under-rated, full of heart football team.

We will run the ball well, our OL is good.
Clemson will have some success pick'in us to death with short passes but won't score much.
We will create some TO's, I expect us to be +2 for the game.
The game will be tight late in the 3rd quarter but Clemson will make a mistake and we will go up by 11 - 14 points.
Clemson will threaten to score a TD to get within one score but we will turn them back.
We win 28 - 17 with 175+ yards rushing and Ball throws for 160+ yard with 1 - 2 TD's. We'll have one turnover.
Clemson throws for 200+ but with a couple of picks and one fumble.

I expect to see a really good game with GT holding on to win late. The series is always close and history would tell us that it will be less than a FG. Yes, CU covers the 4. I pray we win as I am married to one of those Tigers.

I think we continue to mix the run and pass about like we have. I think PJ has anoher 100+ rushing day. I don't think Ball gets sacked over two times if any.

I think Ball makes a couple of good runs on pass plays when the receivers are covered. Let's give him about 60 yards running the ball this week. I believe this will be our best game running the ball.

Best offensive show of the season for us.

I think we:

1) Put up 30 on Clemson.

2) Run between the tackles and pound them to set up vertical passing which we will complete for at least 1 huge gain.

3)Absolutely shut Clemson down on the ground and force them to go with 4 and 5 wide outs.

4) Beat them by more than 3 dad-gum points.

i expect to see that orange pumpkin patch in the north end zone heading for the exits...early....again. i expect to see scott break off a nice return. i hope i get to see some of our tight ends rumblin down the field with a pass. i also expect (and hope) to see that cute blond sitting in front of me offer me another lil snort of WHATEVER it was she was drinking two weeks ago!

I expect Clemson to pass, pass, pass & did I mention pass?

I expect Tech to dominate them early and put up a good amount of points with a solid average starting field position in the first half.

I expect Clemson to begin to breakthrough in the second half and make it a game.

I expect Tech will win the game but only by hanging on for a 3-7 point victory.

I expect PJ will have a solid game with somewhere close to 100 yards rushing.

I expect that Reggie will have his best game to date with over 50% completion rate and over 50 yards rushing.

I expect to see some trick plays that will include Logan, Smith or Bilbo involved in a lateral or reverse-pass play.

Clemson will be going for the big play all afternoon and I don't think we can contain their talented receiving corp the entire game.

I expect a loud crowd that will be a huge help for our team in the game.

I expect to see the no-huddle only some of the time... TECH defense will confuse them faster than they can confuse our defense...

I expect to see Whitehurst sacked 5-7 times.

I expect to see more option with a potential Ball pitches to Bilbo...

I expect the Jackets to have a favourable turnover margin...

I expect to see the north stands quiet AGAIN!!!

I expect Wes Durham to be hoarse by games end...

I expect to hear the whistle blow around 10:30PM saturday nite...

I expect to see the Jackets pound the clemson 'O' into submission

I expect someone on this board to point out how we could've won by more if we had different coaches

I expect that we will win a close one, particularly because they don't have Woody Dantzler to beat us by himself like he did last time they were here.

What else I expect......
Ball - 200 yds passing
PJ - 100 yds rusing
AT LEAST 3 offensive touchdowns.

More turnovers forced by our D.
Fox is going to manhandle Whitehurst.

I also expect this to end Tommy Bowden's coaching career.

If Charlie Whitehurst tries to run them quarterback draws our defense will bust his ass....Jackets win handily. If he three steps or shotguns all day....flings it short and intermiate and stays away from the draw....oh boy it will be difficult to pull out a win.

This is what I expect from Clemson:

- They will run a hurry up offense in an attempt to fatigue our defense.

- They will move the pocket in an attempt to break contain, buy addtional time for their QB, and to make our blitzing defenders run more and fatigue faster.

- Lots of short passes across the middle of the field.

- After they have established the roll out, we will see the draw play.

What I expect from us:

- On defense, more of the same. If its not broken don't try to fix it. Lots of slanting lines and blitzing LBs. If we can keep Whitehurst in the pocket we should have a lot of success.

- On offense, the OL will have their best game of the year to date. Reggie Ball will have at least one long run. The return of the TE to the offensive scheme. PJ will have a good game.
