Gloves?

I noticed in the photos of the latest scrimmage that all of the backs and receivers were wearing gloves. Now obviously the coaches know whether these gloves help a player or not and I know that they are very popular but with all the fumbles, I wonder if they are a problem with the style of offense PJ is running.

I'm also curious as to how they help a player. Are they made of a material that grips to the ball? Is it just to keep sweat off of the players hands? If anyone has any info or opinions, I'd like to hear them.

Last year, a wr that was a friend of mine had the ball slip thru his hands several times. After practice he told me that he was testing a new kind of gloves for the coach. He said that he was going to report back to the coach that we should not only refuse to buy them but we ought to burn the pair that he used.

The actual outside of the glove that covers the inside of your hand is made of a very sticky rubber material. I never liked gloves in high school. I just felt like I had more control of the ball without them. I practiced in gloves one day however and made a finger tip catch that I knew I would have never made without the gloves. It's basically just personal preference. When running with the ball I didnt feel an advantage. Catching the ball there was a huge advantage as to how the ball stuck to my hands.

The gloves could also be in use due to the amount of rain we've been having lately.

And cuddly offensive lineman.

I find it hard to beelieve that CPJ is not seeing this.

The gloves need to be burned in a ceremony. Crossing down and across the middles for everyone

The cream will rise to the top.
