Don't get me wrong, I love how O'Leary turned the GT program around from it's bleak 1-10 season to 5 straight bowl games, but O'Leary left after promising he wouldn't go. I personally wanted him gone long ago, but I at least respected the recruits he brought in. Then he left unexpectedly and quickly, leaving the GT recruiting season in potential ruin. Well O'Leary -- what goes around, comes around, and I think it came around very quickly. May this be a lesson to you O'Leary --- don't bite the hand that feeds you, especially when it feeds you 1.1 mil $ a year with a rollover contract and incentives in Atlanta.

In the end Tech gained somewhat. Notre Dame pays GT 1.5 million $ in the O'Leary buyout, and now GT gets to get a better head coach and start a new. Believe me, Tech football will be back quickly -- just look at what the last GT head coach hiring (Paul Hewitt).
