and purchase a gold, yellow, or magenta jacket for $20.

It was one of the best GT crowds ever but w/ all the blue, black, and etc. jackets it took away from the atmosphere IMO.

Hey we got the W that is all I care about.

But you are right, blue is our secondary color, gold is our primary color and that is what people should wear.

Don't start. As long as we keep winning, I won't complain nearly as much about our home unis.
However, don't expect people to spend their hard earned money on a gold hat and a cheddar shirt or jacket combo.

Any combination of gold, white and navy is just fine.
If you saw magenta or black in numbers, I agree.

the point is it was an INCREDIBLE crowd and it is time to take the next step and fill the stands w/ Gold/Yellow

I went the GT bookstore to purchase a heavy jacket today after the wreck parpade. All I wanted was a decent looking Gold coat. The selection was non existent. There were about two or three choices and all were ugly. Everything else was navy.

I guess I'll have to try Tailgater's Alley (I thin that's the name).

So I had to wear a dark gray fleece...

I understand your preferance. I just happen to like white and navy and gold combinations.

Yellow belongs with Black as undesireable colors for a Tech fan imo, but until Radokovich and company can get manufacturers to only make everything in the correct PMS colors, we will have a clash issue.

The real problem is the gold as everyone knows. It's impossible to translate a metallic to fabric in any uniformity.
This is why Navy is beautiful. So is beating Miami and nearly punching our ticket to Jacksonville! Go Jackets!!

Most of the Tech stuff here in Augusta is blue. I would assume that that is the case most everywhere. Don't know why?

What I don't get is this: everywhere (on the tickets, signs in the stadium, advertising) it says "Remeber to wear gold". Fine, but then over half the stuff in the GT bookstore is navy! If the Tech powers-that-be are so hyped on wearing gold, then sell majority gold stuff!

Dude, you won't find a 'gold' jacket at TJMaxx or any other general clothing store. Gold isn't anywhere close to a color that people wear much less as a jacket -hence all the blue.

Cause navy looks better is why...

Most people aren't gonna walk around Augusta in a gold shirt.

That is unless they have the purple crushed velvet jacket and hat to match.;)

I love it when we're bitching about this stuff, cause it usually means that other more important things are going well. I know everyone is very anti-gold or had their own version that they like, but if you're only complain is about not being metalic enough then you might want to check the under armor stuff at the bookstore, looks good. I personally love my new hoodie, more like a faded yellow than old gold, but its nice, comfy, and looks a lot better than the cheddar stuff from a few years ago

A couple of the guys sitting in my section have some nice looking 'old gold' pullover windbreakers with the GT logo over the heart. They're either made by Starter or Champion.

Most of my GT gear is navy because I cannot find the old gold color on something I would like to wear. In fact, I wore navy yesterday but would prefer to wear gold. It's difficult finding a nice selection of GT gear to purchase. I was at NorthPoint mall recently looking for some fall outerwear and thought that a place like 'Sports Moments & Memories' or 'Champs' might have something that I like. But, after staring at all the UGA stuff and SEC gear I didn't find what I wanted in GT gear, only picked up a couple of auto decals and a hat.

D Radokovich understands that branding of his product is very important.
My best guess is that by sometime before fall practice we will have a very consistent and first class look.
My personal pick is the white hat, old gold shirt look at home, and the traditional road unis we wear now. (best in show for my money)

Whether or not the tight fisted fans will shell out more dollars to replace their yellow and black polyester gear is another Q altogether! :laugher:

Maybe Papa Johns Pizza could give out the right colored GT hat for every large cheese only pizza ordered.

I really wish we would do a gold out that was actually promoted well, where you could have vendors selling cheap (both $ and quality) gold GT shirts outside the stadium for $5-10 on gameday, wouldnt be that hard at all but would take some effort on behalf of a few groups that haven't moved on it before when I've suggested it.

Would also love to do a white out too, which is much easier sinc everyone has white, but would probably interfere with the gameday gold branding. Would be pretty killer if a few years from now we could open ever season with a white out and close it with a gold out or something like that, anything that happens 2-3 times is a tradition and it would stick.

my bad... i didnt have a gold sweater and i didnt think about it until my buds were here to pick me up. any other time i wear my gold CJ jersey... just too cold yesterday.

I refuse to buy anything at the bookstore that is the Yurine Yellow color that they sell. That washed out beige or whatever it is is NOT Old Gold.

The signs at the Grant Field that say "next week I'll remember to wear something gold" (or WTTE) would apply to the football team if it were not for the helmets.

Closest thing I have found is a long sleeve t-shirt type thing at Sam's, but it is too casual to wear to the games for an old guy like me.

I was a culprit yesterday. Had on a gray hoodie but it had TECH sewn on the front in gold. That all I got.
