Hey, does anyone have experience sitting in the "Gold Zone"? I see that they are selling these for $280 a piece.

I'm looking at buying season tickets for the first time in about 15 years, and I'm still concern that family schedule will keep us from attending several games. These are at a price point that I wouldn't mind if something came up and I had to miss, or give tickets away cheaply at the last minute.

I've never sat in the end zone area at BDS, but we had low end zone seats for the CFA bowl against LSU, and it was hard to see the far end of the field due to the low angle.

Thoughts?

I don't know about the Gold Zone, but I'd suspect they are upper level north, which are fine. But to your one question, the end zone seats at Chick Filet are the absolute worst seats in college football. Particularly the ones farthest from the field. I hated them.

They may be sold out already. It says on rr.com that availablility is limited.

Gold Zone - Located above the walkway in the upper north endzone, limited seating is available in these sections. Price is $280 per non-renewable season ticket

Problem is all that Red you'll have to sit with for the UGAg game.

Oh yeah, that was my other question. Where are the tickets that are sold to the visiting team? Is it upper north? I seem to remember in the past it used to be upper/lower south on the visitor's side, but of course that's been a few years ago now!

Why don't you just spend the extra hundred dollars and support the AA more? If you were a real fan you'd be getting something better than the cheapest you can get. That reflects on your fandom. This is everything that's wrong with this fanbase. Nobody willing to pony up when it comes down to it and give to the AA. Gotta go with the cheap seats...

For the extra 100, the view is much better for the upper deck. I used to sit in 207, lined up with the north endzone goal line. I could see everything just fine.

Forreals. I have seats in 102 and I pay $900 for the pair. That's $200 to the TECH fund. Plus, I am contributing to the A-T fund through their Young Professionals program.

I've sat up before when buying tickets for my parents. I didn't think they were bad and you get an awesome view of the Atlanta skyline.

Edit: Looking at the seating chart, I was probably in the deck above though.

At least I spent $700 to support the AA even though I can't go to all of the games. You should try it. I have student loans too. So does my wife. We somehow manage to make it work.

Well, for 4 tickets, it's $280 more, but yeah I have been looking at Section 207 as well. My tickets used to be in 206 or 207 years back, we had a pretty solid block there back in the day.

What are everyone's preferences as regards East or West stands?

Bet you don't have rent that takes up one of your entire paychecks (stupid on my part), a wedding to prepare for, 1,000 bucks for CPA exam fee's, another 2 or 3 hundy for materials to prepare for the exam, ect.

Don't be an asshole, fuckwad.

My post was TIC, I would be a hypocrite to mean what I said in that post.

I like my current section and I have a similar view in 111. The group that I have gotten tickets with since graduation all like the section. I donate in other ways as well.

My tickets are in the Gold Zone, and they are pretty good seats. They are right at the bottom of the upper north stands and you have a pretty good view of the field. However, as was mentioned earlier, behind you will be a gang of enemy fans so be warned. It will be pretty full back there when we play Clemson and UGA.

However, I will end up going in gate 10 and sitting in the south endzone with the students 90% of the time anyways. That is where the fun is unless you are in SWARM or the marching band.

I thought about responding by saying I'd just forego the season tickets, and donate $250 to the AA. It would save me $120, and let them sell my tickets to someone else!!

We all have stuff to save up and pay for. I was somewhat TIC and somewhat being an asshole. I just keep remembering the comment you had about staying home to watch the game since $17/ticket was too much. Then tailgating is the "best" part of a fan experience so you go home and watch the game, and then complain about attendance.

Mostly, I was kidding. I deserve to be called out for not being clear.

What I meant to convey in that post was that I had a problem paying $12 for shipping when the FMV of the tickets were only $10.

I guess scalping was the wrong word to use, but what was could I get a good deal if I just got some tickets there on gameday as opposed to paying more in shipping than a ticket.

I thought the tickets scalpers come across still came from the AA and whoever got them from a scalper still beneifted the AA by the ticket not going unsold.

How does scalping actually work if it doesn't help the AA? Sorry for being ignorant.

I'm sure the some scalpers buy tickets from the AA, which ultimately means you are supporting the AA. I have had trouble scalping tickets for the better games and typically want to go with a group so I buy from the AA. For home games that I have tickets for already, we'll scalp an extra one and squeeze that person into our seats (we stand up most of the time anyway).

I started off just giving you shit, then I was an ass on purpose, then back to just giving you shit. I was really just joking about the $12/17.
