Dave Clawson has created college football version's of Moneyball at Wake Forest

Dave Clawson has quietly been building an ACC contender in Wake Forest, yet he and the Demon Deacons haven't gotten proper recognition.

For the record, Dave Clawson won 3 games in his first 2 seasons at Wake. We are building our talent. It is tough to watch our team sometimes, but I'm remaining optimistic.
 
It's a great story, reminds me of our 1990 year. However, Clawson to me has proven to be a better coach than Collins. I'm hoping Collins gets in gear soon.
 
We added that delayed mesh triple option play for the uva game. It worked pretty well.

Me too. That said, you, I, and everyone else were laughing at his 0-0 tie with Beamerbawl at the end of regulation a few years ago.

During the UNC game they mentioned how the offensive turnovers and penalties by Wake with the pressure of being top 10 were uncharacteristic of their team. I wish I could say the same about ours. I don’t remember Wake being particularly good that year so 0-0 may have been a good result for them after 4 quarters against a typically superior opponent.

that was his first year there and they won the game so not all bad.
