The new coach will have to determine that based on his own preferences. The important thing is giving him enough money and benefits to draw them to Tech and keep them. Something Tech has shown little interest.
Hire a good coach and then handcuff him with a crap budget and you might as well not hire a good coach to begin with.

I really, really, really thought our S&C program would be a difference maker. I was wrong.
Caralla seems like a good motivator but S&C is also about science and nutrition, right. Maybe Caralla and staff aren't too great on those aspects. Training smart can be more important than training hard.

Bigger and stronger has no use if players are unprepared for game situations, are undisciplined, and play with poor technique.

And you got safeties and corners jacked with muscles and added a 0.5 second to their 40.

The training needs to tailored to the position. I think we hurt our DB's by bulking them up instead of focusing on reaction and acceleration.

Yet two of the DBs are on NFL rosters and Wesley Walker is playing a lot on a good Tennessee team. Their speed/strength wasn’t as issue.

Isn't one of them playing as a LB tho or is my recollection wrong?
