Cabrera and Stansbury have decided that you are still the best man to be the Head Football Coach at Georgia Tech.

Since it's their decision to go on trusting you with our football program, you are contractually obligated to continue in that role.

So, I don't have any problem with you anymore. This is all on Cabrera and Stansbury now. it's no longer your fault.

Congratulations on doing your best and making a lot of money for your family. That makes you a success in my book.

All this does is stick his own neck out (AD) further beside Collins. Stansbury can either deal with the problem or be replaced. The clock is ticking. 1-4 is the point of no return. There are no miracles coming to save Collins' sorry a**.

Logically, a mid season firing does nothing. Higher payoff, less prepared (if possible) team dealing with more (if possible) drama. You wait until the end of the season and let him go between the regular season and the bowl game.

Edit: my bad. I was thinking back to Chan Gailey days where we fired people for 7 wins.
