“I opened it up all the way,” Nesbitt said after practice Monday. “We went through every progression, every thing I’d have to do in a game. We did everything.”

Assuming there are no setbacks, Nesbitt will start Saturday at Clemson, Johnson said.

No. 2 quarterback Jaybo Shaw also is feeling good after missing Saturday’s game with a concussion. He suffered the concussion while running for a touchdown Oct. 4 against Duke.

I am curious about this diagnosis. We all saw the hit that Jaybo took but how do we know he had a concussion?

He did not lose consciousness and he also did not leave the game. Did he have memory loss?

I personally think this was more a precaution than a concussion. If you clasify a solid hit as causing a concussion then we probably have multiple players with this every game.

A concussion, also called a mild traumatic brain injury, is a temporary disturbance of normal brain function. It is usually caused by the brain shifting in the skull due to a hard impact to the head.

There are ways of determining a concussion without him losing consciousness or memory loss. Namely, being nauseous and dizzy for an extended period of time, issues with the dilation of the pupils, and a several other things.

there are diagnosable symptoms. like being able to answer questions like, "where do you live?" and "what day of the week is it?" (tic)

interestingly, Tech has done some science on this topic.. The DETECT device:

Some students he hung out with posted on the Hive that he had a slight concussion.

Wow, and on a sort of related note... Taylor Bennett is benched at La. Tech.

ESPN Link

Bennett had started the first five games of the year, completing 61-of-156 passes (39.1 percent) for 844 yards and two touchdowns while throwing five interceptions.

Those are very disappointing stats for him.

Is it bad to feel kinda bad? :dunno:

Nah, I don't think so... he is a GT alumni and left on a good note as far as I know. I don't blame him for leaving, he would have been horrible with CPJ's offense.
