NCAA Developer Greg Heddlesten announced tonight that "big time updates" will be coming to the Flex Bone offense in NCAA Football 10 as well as other updates to benefit Shotgun running plays. With a high profiled team such as Georgia Tech running the offense this past season, it certainly brings the old offense back to the fore-front and it sounds like EA will be helping us to experience that in their next iteration of NCAA Football.

No in-depth details are currently available but Greg has said that he will try to see if more information can be shared regarding this or if we'll have to wait until closer to release.

Thank God.

I found out 24 hours ago and was jumping for joy! Hopefully we will have some A-Back and WR sweeps added.

Now if they can just add Create a school and or FCS teams then i'll go nuts!

Yes! Now i'll actually get this one. I wonder if the Mutts are gonna be 99 overall again?

If you look in the Flexbone-Slot formation there a "WB Sweep" that is pretty much an A-Back sweep to the strong side of the formation.

Now if they can just get our unis right this year (and give us a navy blue alternate).

the AI in Campus legend blows, anytime I run the option and pitch it, the pitch man always runs toward the side line first before taking off up field. I hope they fix that.

Sweet, option plays might work right now!

I have to say though, after spending $60 on last year's version (which managed to make Campus Legend more boring) I'm not terribly attempted to do so again.

PS2

I also have the option to wear alternate black jersies...weird i know
I've got that on my PSP version of '09 as well. Oddly, I don't think it's available from the standard bone, but the play is there on trips and some of the other variants. I personally would like to see an option trainer implemented, something that shows idiots like me exactly which player is being optioned off for different plays, and maybe shows some of those idiots on ESPN exactly what the "triple option" really is.

I played this game for the first time in years over the weekend. (I think PS1 was the last time I played it) What's up with the roster? None of the players are right, they have the starting QB as #14?

Am I supposed to download an update or something?

Also, why does it play White & Gold all the time and not Ramblin' Wreck?

Also, why does it play White & Gold all the time and not Ramblin' Wreck?

It has done that for every game that I've played in the series. According to some of the older band members, we used to play Ramblin Wreck after every touchdown, and White and Gold after the Extra Point. In fact, the signal for the songs are the number "1" for Ramblin' Wreck (meaning it is played first), and "2" for White and Gold (which would be played second). I assume that's why they put them there in that order, but I don't know why they couldn't just go back and change it. Doesn't seem too hard...

Wish they would add create a player options like tattoos, dreadlocks, etc. Would make the players more unique than just looking all the same. I remember somewhere back maybe 04 game, you could add similar features kinda like on madden.

All I know is that if you flip the A-Back and B-Back in the 2 TE formation of the wishbone and run a full back option, its a touchdown 50% of the time. Of my 13 straight national title teams, that is the standard gold play!

Sounds like someone needs to look up slider adjustments.

I had picked the game back up last month and was trying desperately to get a National Championship on some rather difficult slider settings. It took several seasons to get myself in place and in this one particular year I went 11-0 headed into the Georgia game, which I lost. That's the most tempted I've ever been to pull the plug and erase the game from existence. I was so angry with myself.

That's not why they did it. EA screwed up. They used to only have Ramblin' Wreck and when they finally added multiple songs per school, they added it in backwards. I tried on multiple occasions to get them to correct it through various wish lists that the producers read, but no dice.

Doesn't matter much now with the stadium sounds feature, but it used to be pretty annoying. Worse was the fact that they didn't add the Bobby Dodd Stadium upgrades to the game until NCAA 06.

If you're talking about the additions to the North stands, I think I would have preferred they left BDS alone...
