A few of my media friends have been telling me they are hearing a lot of changes in offense. A lot of 2 TE sets, backfield passing to RBs and a lot of under the center snaps. Some of this is function of new QB who are more polished passers (Dormady and JG) but also a lot is also Larry Scott putting his stamp on the offense.
It is still very early in the camp and no pads yet but I am excited to see new tweaks Larry will add to the offense.

This says to me that the new OC brought in his old buddy from South Florida to effectively change the offense around into something he's more familiar with, which will be under center, less QB runs. More in our wheelhouse to defend.

I heard that one of the reasons Butch Jones promoted someone from within the system (Larry Scott was their tight end coach and has no previous OC experience) was to keep the offensive system intact from last year. I would be surprised if they changed things up very much. Sounds like wishful thinking from Vol fans.

Keep in mind GT has never covered a TE. Never attempted to cover one either.
Exactly. Thankfully UGA's dropped the pass on their final drive this year

I think they'll run less with the QB simply because Dobbs is gone - he was a hell of a runner. They're backup this year is a threat with his legs, but I don't think we're gonna have to worry about Dormady nearly as much. Which is good for us - we have enough trouble rushing the passer without a mobile guy who's gonna buy even more time.

So this is Tennessee's OC?

I would think they would try ugaplan of running down our throats if possible. Very simple but can be very effective.
