We are at a momentous part of he season.

The hostel in Pittsburgh was phenomenal - ate some good meals on Carson St and on Forbes Ave. We showed up with that Pail but barely missed out on a win. JT throws for over 120, JJ Green 96 yard return LONGEST in Tech history and scores as well. Clinton plays well. We lose off a fluke deflected pass.

For two weeks in a row we have lose winnable games. Sitting at 3-3 1-3 this team should easily be 5-1, 3-1 & top 15. Take that pale and stick it to southern, and after a bye week if you take care of Duke you set yourself up for a very interesting bowl.

You are looking mighty pail Bob. Was it something you eight in Pittsburgh?

96 yd KO return IS NOT the longest in Ga Tech history.

I didn't think so either but that's what they said on the live radio broadcast. I think it is actually like the 8th longest but I can't seem to find the data online.

From the Media Guide. 1919 Dewey Scarboro returned one 102 yds vs. Georgetown
In Modern Day records: 1978 vs the dwags Drew Hill 100 yds.; 1998 vs the twerps Dez White 100 yds & 2012 vs UNCheat Jamal Golden 100 yds.
(even Mrs. OldGold75 thought the broadcast was in error.)

No. Locally, you will often hear lunch called dinner. Your three typical meals each day are breakfast, dinner, and supper.

It is breakfast, lunch, and dinner. And it was referred to in that way in small town Georgia. Now go get a chum bucket because honeymoon and spicy side were the way to go.

I don't care how they say it in Athens, I'm just relating how they say it here while pointing out that lunch pale is incorrect when it should be lunch pail.

Lived further south and chum bucket is a better description. Junior's country fried was much better.

Hickory Grove, SC it was breakfast, dinner, supper.

at least Bob's threads are a good depository for useless info...not that all the other threads aren't.

I get how some places do it, but at school did you have lunch money or free lunch?

Know where Chester is?

yeah, school called it lunch, but they had book lernin'.

Yes, I know of Chester, Hickory Grove is in York County.

I know where it is, my parents went there, I never made it. It was just called The Holler, mostly.

Yep. Might have been there after eating dinner in York. Ever been to Monterrey in Spartanburg?

Back in the day, I did some industrial insulation of that big creosote plant in Hickory Grove! I grew up in nearby Rock Hill. Did lots of hunting in HG too.
