just popped up on Rivals. It is an extremely detailed interview with LB Kyle Jackson talking about how the entire day is run, what players were there, what he liked about it, etc. He has been to a bunch of juniors days including UGA and said that GT runs the best one. He was very specific as to things he liked and people he liked.

Great interview.

Or hiveredtech- if you could just post a summary in your own words. That would be great.... brief us with your vast & privy knowledge. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/drinking.gif

That would not be fair bo the writer whose job it is to drive content subscriptions...plus he could then yank my access!

The high-level summary though is that he had a great visit and thought GT ran a far better Junior Day event than our competitors. He loved the coaching staff as well. Some of the players he mentioned already have articles on them as it seems they have been putting out a new interview from Junior Day each morning. The rest of the ones he mentioned I would suspect will come out over the next week or so.

Ouch, and that could leave a mark.

face it

As long as you try to sell subscriptions on this free site, don't get righteous about content on a premium site.
Everybody knows about the site you are hawking, and they will pay for it if they want it.

Note: If you are not someone pushing a premium site, my apologies.

apology accepted. Doesn't matter to me if people subscribe or not as I have no affiliation with Rivals whatsoever. I do think it is a good thing for GT fans to help keep the information flowing by purchasing information since the majority of Rivals, Scout, etc. dollars come from UGA, Auburn, Florida, Clemson, Tennessee, and Alabama fans.

Must have been thinking about a poster on the hive. What is most noticeable to me about his work is treating that site's members as a sales database.
I have nothing against salespeople. I certainly have to do it in my life, but these boards just don't seem like the right environment, imo.
I have nothing against the premium boards per se, and certainly understand and agree with your point about not divulging here what you got on a pay site.

Again, sorry the accusation. I am happy the note at the end was added.

no big deal pocket.

I had a HARD time getting used to pay sites on the internet. It was a paradigm shift to get used to, almost like newspapers and magazines that start out giving tons of free copies to generate interest then switch over to paid subscriptions. A Tech site is the only one I will pay for...I do not pay for ESPN Insider or that stuff. I would also imagine that Rivals and Scout need the subscriber money far worse than ESPN...who should have no trouble getting enough money through advertisers. Of course, they are publicly owned...so we all know how that works.

I just provide links when I see something good whether it is premium content, free stuff, or maybe some cool Tech merchandise that may be for sale.

Anyway...sorry for the hassle.

the good news in the end is our Junior Day rocks.
