Great job to all the Tech fans at the game

Is this the best home crowd you've played in front of?
"This is the loudest crowd for me since I've been here. They were into the game from the start and we were trying to get them fired up for the defense when they were on the field that last drive. That's what our team feeds off of, the home crowd. They did a great job and kept us fired up and into the game. At the end, when they stormed the field, I had to put my helmet back on because I didn't want to take a shot to the head."

The atmosphere was awesome! And, it was done without any theatrical gimmicks from the AA.

True story, there were talks this week about getting music pumped in through the PA system ala climpsun a few weeks ago. Apparently, this was at the suggestion of some of the players, although I can't confirm that. Either way, we had to learn some new songs (there's only one good one out of the three) and we made a point to play a hell of a lot more during the game (I wish we would have blasted over that damn war chant, but you don't want to make more noise for your offense to overcome). I hope the atmosphere today, especially with the number of f$u fans present, will reaffirm what we as the band, are doing, and lead people to get into, and stay in the game.

GTS,

The band has been fantastic all year!

I had not posted it yet but you guys were jammin' at Clemson. You helped make that game a great time.

There was one point in the game. I think it was a kick off - maybe to start the second half - that they played a song on the pa over the FSU band.

The quote from JD is funny. I somehow made it off the field with a couple of cuts and a severely bruised arm. ...Probably a good call for those guys to keep all their gear on.

I commented to my wife and my sister (two different people as I'm not a ugag fan) that the band played a lot and did a great job drowning out the f$u fans.

Nice job...the pregame on-field routine is really sharp IMO, also.

Daryl Richard was not as wise.

From the AJC

Bedlam followed. After two kneeldowns to run the clock to zero, Tech fans spilled onto the field, a delirious blue and gold mob at midfield.
The fray was so wild, someone busted Richard in the mouth.
“It was actually a Tech dude,” said Richard, showing off a swollen upper lip. “I think he had been a little overserved when he came out (on the field).”

Playing Jeezy after everyone had rushed the field was pretty awesome. The team was definitely into it.

The crowd was very very loud. We were making up for the slack pieces of **** who sold their tickets to FSU fans because they figured we would lose. I hope those ****ers know they missed the best game in BDS in 9 years. They are what is wrong with GT fans.

BDS was rocking, especially the student section when FSU was backed up on their on own 1 yard line after that punt. I think we actually forced Ponder to use one of his timeouts because of the noise.

I was on the field and went up to Scott Blair and complimented him on his tackling abilities. :)

I didn't get that.

What was there not to get? Florida, their rival, was kicking the ass of U[sic]GA, our rival. Their "tomahawk chop" song was annoying and way overplayed, therefore we taunted them and showed our pleasure at U[sic]GA getting stomped by doing the gator chomp.

Still makes no sense. We aren't gator fans. Stupid IMO.

I agree with Kyle. Let me send this one home... it was gay. Kind of like the GT fans who sold their tickets to FSU fans.

+1

I have no problem with Florida, especially when they're whupping up on georgia, but we aren't them. We aren't Gators, we're yellow jackets, so there's no place for us to do the Gator Chomp. Also, there's already another thread on this, but there are plenty of students alone who can't get tickets to the game, so selling your tickets to the enemy or to scalpers is a bitch move. Period. Especially if it's because you assume we'll lose. That's why you play the damn game.

We made Andrews and Bowden look like fools. The look on Bowdens face at the end.... It was like someone had just shot his dog!

Ha ha ha... Overserved... What a freakin' diplomatic way to say he was drunk as hell.

You guys were great.

I remember a couple of times, where the crowd was getting into it trying to throw FSU off, and they played some stupid crap on the big screen instead.

IMO the only video they need to show on there is the one that gets the "Yellow, Jackets" chant going.
