The problem with Spurrier's teams were the two QB's had the same style and that caused unnecessary tension. If we have one OPTION qb and another pro style qb I believe it can be very effective. I think we have all learned over the past few years how important an option package can be in our offense. In fact it was probably at least a two game swing last year b/c Goose could no longer run the option.Originally posted by Culb:
A la Vick and Chandler? I don't think it will work.
Not be be pessimistic about that approach, but I can't, for the life of me, think of a 2 QB system that has been consistently effective. I can't think of a single team that used it to great success over the course of a year. I know teams(including us) have had single game success with it, but not sustained. I'm hoping some of you will tell me a few examples and prove me wrong.

I saw some comments regarding the interview. One poster made the comment, "that should put to rest the idea that GOL held back the offense". It is possible that is the case, but how naive can a person be? What else did they expect O,Brien to say?
After all, GOL is his good friend, and BOB wants to keep all doors open for a job in the pros. I would take BOB's remarks about that matter with a grain of salt.
