Grobe to Arkansas!!!

Hope Wake enjoyed their time in the sun. Duke will enjoy the company. I hear it gets cold in the cellar.
 
Another opportunity for CG. "Established" program. Tough academics. Mediocrity would probabaly hold the Deacon fan base (this ain't b'ball). They were supposedly paying Grobe 1.1 so money is there. Good Christian men always wanted at the Baptist founded school.
 
That is good for us. Grobe is a great coach. He turned Wake into a touch game. Hopefully, once his system is in place at Ark, he will be a thorn in UGA's side for a long time.
 
Too bad we won't get to see what he can do with McFadden.
 
The only thing I'm sad about in this situation is

that we didn't hire him!!!!

Arkansas got a hell of a coach for $1.5M/year. I would've taken Grobe in a heartbeat.
 
Wow, I get to see good football here again. Hopefully we'll get a strong coach that will keep us on TV for us out-of-staters (and make it worth a drive down every now and then).

Paul Johnson's offense is like Grobe's on steroids. Paul is actually more of a risk-taker. Grobe is extremely conservative in the 4th quarter.

I am not saying PJ is a slam dunk...but he is probably stronger than Grobe.

You mean people are actually willing to TAKE the Arkansas job? I thought it's only function anymore was as leverage for a contract extension.
 
It really is. All the SEC boards I've visited are actually worried/pissed that Arky got a good coach.
 
I hope Chan goes to Wake. Easy transition for him.
