Georgia Tech outperformed Georgia in graduation success rates for:

-- Football, 55 percent to 41 percent.

-- Men's basketball, 42 percent to 9 percent.

-- Baseball, 65 percent to 48 percent.

Those figures are for players who originally enrolled in 1996-99. Tech showed improvements over last year's numbers, which covered players who enrolled in 1995-98. Georgia's numbers dropped.

We're still next to last in the ACC. Woohoo.

This measuring stick is flawed and should be measured against the normal student population graduation rate PLUS factored for kids leaving early for pro careers.

I don't see how any one can get excited by our SA's academics ratings exceeding UGA's when everyone knows our kids are much better in the class room anyway. It is why our kids are special.

Fun is beating them on the playing field. Victory in the class room is taken for granted. :laugher:

As they say 6 months after graduation at UGA;
"whould you like fries with that?".

NEW STATS RELEASED! GT outperforms UGA in ratio of MEANINGFUL DEGREES awarded to student atheletes!

-- Football, 55 percent to 0 percent.

-- Men's basketball, 42 percent to 0 percent.

-- Baseball, 65 percent to 0 percent.

"I be's a English major"

(told to me by a dawg fan about one of their DT's answer to a question about his major in an interview a few years ago)
