GT band...

That's their usual practice, they appear somewhere in the stadium, play a snippet and leave quickly. Except in this case, it looks like they are running away. It would have looked stupid if they just stood there forever too.

During the 2nd half of games, part of the band splits up (usually just part of the brass section) and heads to different sections/concourses around the stadium to play different tunes between plays. Immediately afterward, they all sprint to their next location.

They've been doing it ever since I can remember, which admittedly is not that long. They are technically running to the next spot to play, rather then running away. Besides, there's no reason to run away from the inbreds up there, because there's no way to get up there quickly. Plus they'd have to go through the South end student section, and trust me, that never ends up well for any of red and black.

If you are not ready, they will scare the hell out of you when they start up behind you. :eek5:

Anyone who's ever been to BDS for a game knows we've been doing this forever.

Can't say Geetee's question surprises me.

I run around the stadium during the third quarter and start yelling whatever words come to mind behind unexpecting fans who need to be on their toes (Re: Little kids who haven't yet learned the importance of full awareness during the games. What if you're yawning during a 2nd and 4 for the other team - a sure-fire run play and BAM they go Play Action and it's a pick six?

You've left yourself wide open and vulnerable. You can't yell while yawning and odds are your muscles are relaxed during it, so you won't be jumping up and down.

We can't be bothering with physical functions if we're going to cheer like champions. Drink lots of coffee and wear a diaper or I will find you.
