Excuse my commentary as it is not the best.

Not one of our better performances. A lot of the same mistakes from wk 1 are continuously being made in week 8. Our angles, fits and physicality should be the focus going into UNC

The DL continue to play well. I really wish these guys had one more yr in CNW system bc they are playing well.

I hope you guys enjoy.

If you want me to go back and breakdown the Duke gm, I will do that as well.

I'd be interested in your thoughts of that game, not necessarily a video breakdown like this, but some thoughts about what we did and didn't do well. Between these two games, my takeaway has been that our DL is playing well, our LBs still miss angles, fits, and easy tackles more than they should (especially a certain player who seems to be a coach's favorite) but are significantly improved from the beginning of the year, and that the ultimate key to our defensive success is whether our DBs can stay focused, play with intensity, and make tackles.

It should’ve been the inverse of the VT gm. A physical game with a score of 17-14 or 14-10. I thought the fight was the best thing happened for us. The team and fans came alive. After that we played a lot more physical. I also thought Duke O did some good film work on their TDs (that should happen when you invest in football and have the 3rd biggest FB staff)

Yeah, I’m to the point where i believe there is some secrets coach’s fav is holding onto. There is no reason not to have a rotation there.

What’s your take in the up and down performances on the defense?

Could it be that we just don't have a competent backup?

Style of play. With as much movement we do slanting and angling with the DLine, sometimes it is expected to be out of position with a good play call from the O. The last 4 or so games, we’ve blitzed and played man coverage behind it. So it’s been high risk/high reward

Youth/inexperience: 6/11 guys on defense are 1st time starters and Rivera is new to P5 football

More specific
Uptempo: we are still struggling to get lined up and it has cost in a few scores
