Hollis mentions it in AJC article today. On GT Hotline Coach Gailey discusses it.

Clinkscale is dinged up, but sounds as he's not out. Not sure. Ford is out completely this week. They don't want to rush him back. Felt like they may have rushed him earlier. He's still having headaches. Hatch isn't ready.

Ace is going to get work this week with the O off the scout team. Coach saying, "We're going to see what he can do."

Coach was asked at press conference, btw the entire conference is on the Hotline at 404-894-5507, about getting the ball to Tony more. Coach said they are working him in "more packages" this week.

Someone else has got to get some snaps back there. Looks like Ace could get his first real shot at major college football. Think GT fans will really like him, and what he can do. He's a bruiser and a "superior" athlete. Where coach Nix and the coaches have a task is getting him ready to do other things well in blocking schemes.

Hatch isn't ready ?

He sure looked ready against Vandy, and that was two weeks ago (?)

Guys with history of injuries usually continue that especially RBs who ARE going to get hit A LOT.(I stated exactly this in a RB discussion pre-season about how we weren't that DEEP or SOLID at RB OR FB) The only upside to Hollings not running more plays is he may not wear out.Think what happens to our Off if he goes down.BOB better get Bilbo on the field NOW(actually should have been in Clem 2nd qt.)

Some one turn on the lightbulb! A back is going to get injured quicker by blocking, more than by running the ball. I had rather have a back that can run the ball and have no idea of how to block, rather than have a blocking back.

Lets line up some guys in the backfield and alternate handing the ball off to them in different directions. This will more than offset one block made by the back used as a blocking back.

You might fool as many as five players headed for the wrong ball carried as opposed to blocking just one defensive player. Where are the good offensive coaches?

When I said "blocking" regarding ACE was talking about picking up blitzes.
