GT great passed away

There goes another brick from my youth. He was with the Rams when I picked up on him in the 60’s as a young boy. One of my favorites. RIP, Maxie!
 
I grew up around the corner from Maxie, Larry Morris was a neighbor of Maxie's as well. Great guy and family. Back then players had real jobs off season. I would go by his office when he was at GT coaching, always making time to talk about the team. Another great one lost. BTW, I still wear a Maxie hat to the games.
 
i did not know much about him so i read his bio. pretty damn impressive. born the same year as my dad who died 10 yrs ago.

and he was Eagle Scout.

Maxie was a great guy, based on my very brief time as a Student-Assistant around him during Spring Practice and the 1972 season.
