GT has the 9th best line in the ACC?!!

I think Tashard will have something different to say about that...

I thought this thread might read "9th best in the country as judged by so and so." Someone needs to put that on the bulletin board.

We obviously didn't impress Clemson much last year. I suspect this year may be a little different. I'll be there expecting our offense to push their defense around some this time.

One wonders how we finished 2nd in the conference in rushing and 3rd in sacks allowed if our line is so poor. Meanwhile the #1 ranked line of Wake Forest (WTF?) led them to 96th nationally in total offense.

Who cares what those South Carolina s hitheads say about us?!? All I care about is the fact that we are going to kick the crap out of them come October.

It's on a Clemson blog, what the hell did you expect? Regardless, it doesn't really matter what he says, it's all about what our guys do on the field.

The guy did rank Clemson's line at only 8th so I think he was TRYING to be impartial. That said, his opinion means nothing more than Quincy Carter's (thought I'd an actual reason to get mad at this thread).

He may have been trying to be impartial but he really showed a lack of knowledge of the position. His gripe about our line is that we don't have any marquis players at the position. Well, you could put Walter Jones on an OL with 4 bums and not have a great OL.

We have 4 guys that have played pretty much their entire careers together adding at guy that has taken live snaps in several games and have at least another full line of guys that have taken live snaps (including some starts).

The position is all about teamwork and continuity and this guy doesn't appear to use either in his "equation".

Completely agree. My point was hi ignorance is what we should be pointing out - not just the fact that he's a Clemson fan.

Wow... he went so far as to say that Miami (???) had a great offensive line because they had future NFLers on board... how much time did Kyle Wright have to throw last year? This guy is a blockhead.

Clemson is the one he probably gets right. They had, IIRC, 5 or 6 seniors out of the first 6 on OL last year, contributing greatly to their running game last year.

But if GT has the 9th best OL in the ACC, Choice must have been one hell of a back to get all those 100 yard games.

I think he accidentally hit "Descending" when he meant to hit "Ascending" and was just too lazy to change it. :-)
