I researched some stats back before the start of conference play and decided to hold them until bye week. The numbers are through the 2006 season.

GTKyle posted a link that I think covered opponents GT has faced the most --top five being UGA 101, Auburn 92, Clemson 81, Duke 74 & Alabama 52-- so I won't include that list.

Top 10 Most Wins:
45- Clemson
43- Duke
41- Auburn
38- Georgia
35- Tulane
23- Florida
22- UNC
21- Alabama
18- Vanderbilt
17- NC State
17- Tennessee

Top 10 Most Losses:
LVIII- an in-state school
47- Auburn
30- Duke
28- Alabama
27- Notre Dame
24- Clemson
24- Tennessee
17- UNC
15- Vanderbilt
14- UVA

Where did these come from? I just recently saw a different number for losses to Auburn (42)

The stassen.com link that GTK posted --which has a pretty cool search engine built into it-- will give the losses to Auburn number as 42.

But apparently that site does not account for games played before 1902. GT went 0-5-1 against Auburn from 1892-1899. The record is 41-47-4 (not 41-42-3).

I also noticed that site has the GT/UGA series incorrect as well --providing Tech's record as 37-54-5, when in fact the series record is 38-58-5 --five pre-1902 games are missing.

*edit (from the stassen.com site): James' site contains only data for years when each team was considered 'major' (equivalent to today's I-A), and therefore will not necessarily yield true 'all-time' results.
