I noticed that our OL rarely looked up when the rest of the O looked to the sideline. They stayed in their down position. It looked like JT then told Burden the call, who in turm relayed it to the line, if thier scheme changed.

That makes for an extra point for the call to get botched. It also meant we were signaling right in front of the DL every play. I would imagine it is pretty easy to steal a signal that way. Especially if you are switching out guys every week, thereby limiting your playcalling.

We improved once we switched back to the traditional aback bringing in the play.

We improved once defenses lined up straight instead of stunting and mucking with the blocking reads. When defenses did that, we were able to switch back to the A-back bringing in the play. Defenses switching the front pre-snap is what forced us to go to the signalling thing in the first place.

This.

I wonder why defenses later in the season did not play us that way. UGA for instance.

They weren't scared of us anymore since we were starting the 3rd Chair Tuba Player at A back.

You seem to be describing the receiving position of the classical "doggy-style" position

Football season is over. Why would anyone subject themselves to reviewing that shitstorm of a season?

No, we were in the no huddle early in the year. It wasn't a response to anything. It was something were were trying to keep people from using the aback motion to time the snap count.

The no huddle preceeded the shitstorm. And I think burning the play lock down kept our line from having enough time to adjust to what the d was doing.

I think we should store that no huddle in the same place we keep our pistol formation playcalls.
