Derek Winter is a WR the staff was on early, but the recruitment tailed off and PJ has picked it back up. He likes GT alot and was very impressed when he camped here in the summer. GT has officially extended their hand and we are looking at his potential commitment within a week IMO.

Mr Epstein is a OL prospect at C that went to school in the dallas area (i think). He has an offer from us, and a bunch of smaller school offers.

This is a guy PJ knew of at Navy. I am sure he is a carry over and I expect with this official offer; GT is a strong candidate. If he commits that will be 3 on the OL with uzzie hanging around. Potentially 4 on the OL and who knows one may become a DT.

I was told by a GTAA member that they think they will both commit. Not sure...
 
thanks 33... I thought Epstein was a good prospect...perhaps on either side of the ball w/ his moves (from wrestling) and his speed should enable him to get down field or to the QB w/ some quickness..
Good to hear we're back in the mix for Winter to especially since he's a WR prospect and they may be hard to come by this year w/ no proof of what type of looks they will get....Keep us posted
 
Good news on the line. Pretty sure that TJ will be a DT. All others look good for the OL.

His HS QB is supposed to be one of the top QB's next year. Getting Winter might help us in landing him as well.
 
Great news! Does anybody know the name of this qb? I think where going to finish with almost a full class. One more thing is i think jt floyd will be going to michigan.
 
He's not an option QB, but looking at his stats he can run the ball some. 650 yds and 8 TD's on the ground. 2300 yds and 29 TD's through the air.
 
My understanding is that Epstein has an offer from Cal and will be visiting there this weekend.

he is originally from california...or his family is i believe. I wouldn't be shocked if he went there either.
