Georgia Tech football coach Chan Gailey is staying put, the school announced Friday afternoon.
Gailey's two weeks of flirtation with the Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers ended with the Dolphins apparently ready to choose San Diego Chargers offensive coordinator Cam Cameron as their new head coach. The Steelers announced earlier in the week that Gailey wasn't one of their three finalists.

Gailey, 55, is 37-27 in five seasons at Tech, with winning records and bowl berths every year but no Top 25 finishes and no victories over Georgia. His .578 winning percentage ranks third among Yellow Jackets coaches of the past 60 seasons, behind only Bobby Dodd and George O'Leary.
