Tech loses with 3 minutes left because a punt is blocked and puts UCF in field goal range. They kick a field goal with 2:00 left. We get the ball back with about 1:50 left and drive to mid field. This leaves 40 seconds on the clock. We run a play and get tackled at the 20 with 25 seconds left. Why is Geoff not using his timeouts??? Why?? It’s because he used all of them in the 3rd. We get lined up to spike the ball with 9 seconds left. Finally- we can win this one! Geoff with a smirk on his face has the field goal unit ready to win this one!

Whistle blows, and Geoff see’s that the ref is picking up two flags.


Ref: There are two penalties on this play: Too many men on the field- offense. Two players with the same number on the field - offense. UCF has elected for the 10 second run off and there is no time on the clock

Geoff tries to call a timeout only realizing that he has no time outs remaining.

Geoff is happy with the fight of the team, and is extremely excited for the progress that nobody else is seeing

Don’t think Gus will ease up. Pretty sure we aren’t in the right frame of mind. Depending on the offense to get more than a couple of TDs at best is not the correct way of looking at it. We have one touchdown in two games of P5 playing. Defense can’t handle tempo as shown last week. They play with as much or more tempo than Ole Miss.

I believe we get beat by 40 or 50. So I’ll go with 49-7.

Hopefully next week we play better and we will begin seeing how much this team didn’t like Collins or Thacker because I expect the first thing an interim coach will do is to fire Thacker.
