GT vs. Clemson:Pre-game thoughts

I am curious to see how our players come out from the start...I think it is very important to come out strong/fast and steal the ENERGY right out of the Clemson team & crowd early....This will in return motiviate our team & make the lingering memories of the GW game fade away in their minds & the minds of all the viewers...

I would love to see the team rally behind Nesbitt & Dwyer and keep the Clemson defense reactive & confused about what's going on!

I would also like to see our O-line experience some early success against their D-line.....

It also goes w/o saying that our D-Line needs to CREAM KORN & keep him running scared...blitzing from all areas/sides!

Finally, I think the best case scenario would be for GT to be able to mix it up run/pass & get the WR involved & score early & often!

Clemson has a VERY good defense. I think PJ said they had only given up three touchdowns in the last 3 or 4 games (not sure exactly so don't tear me a new one). Regardless, they are stout.

I think our offense can generate some scores, but probably not enough to overcome a rash of turnovers, special team mishaps and/or big plays against our STs or Defense. Conversely, I think our offense will need some short fields and some big plays.

I see a tight game like BC or VT. He who makes the least mistakes and manages the big plays wins.

Given up four TDs in the last four games, same as us.

I think the game will be close. The difference in the game, I believe, will be the ability of Nesbitt to handle pressure and be a playmaker. I'm sure Clemson will try to do what GW did last week and control our offensive line to stop the run and generally harass the QB. If Nesbitt turns the tables and scrambles for big gains or completes some passes, I think we win this one. Hopefully, that will happen early and force their defense to make adjustments early on.
