GT Vs Duke prediction thread

Next week, we'll be talking about how our passing defense needs to improve, I think.

The off-week hurts the Jackets as they lose all the intensity that was building through the first four games.

Tech loses 5 fumbles, throws 3 interceptions, misses a field goal and runs up a school record 225 yards in penalties.

I think Tech wins, but this game worries me. Duke is fired up because this is the first time in years they don't completely suck. They will see this game as a chance for a signature road win to get respect. They've already prepared for the option when they faced Navy and won. Lastly, no one can help but snicker at the thought of a coach trying to convince his team that this is not the "old Duke." Getting the players to take this seriously after a week off is going to be tough. I think this one is a contest until the 4th quarter with CPJ being the deciding difference.
 
Puke has inferior talent. The one thing that we do not have to worry about anymore thank our lucky stars is that the offense will always be fully prepared by THE CPJ.

Its our D that worries me. Our linebackers in space have a hard time and Puke has a dual threat QB(Tyrod Taylor). I think a totally healthy D gives wommack more options however and he will have that this week .

I am confident that GT can beat ANYBODY! Yes ANYBODY in college football if we are healthy.

For some reason I have this feeling in my gut that a fumble will be housed for a touchdown against us at some point during the season.

-I think Puke scores on us a few times.

-We have two turnovers

If he goes down Duke might give us a fit!!

If we are not ready for them and we're not focused, we'll lose a close one. But I have no reason to doubt Coach Johnson's ability to motivate the team. We'll still probably lose a fumble or two.

I'd be a lot more worried about this game if it were on the road. Not that Duke's home crowd is anything to write home about (I think the make-shift twenty person student section I brought up there last year was the loudest thing in the stadium), but it helps a lot to have the home crowd into it.
