I have been watching some of the hiver posts and several have disturbed me greatly. There seems to be a group that believes that a win 1 out of 3 years is acceptable against the mutts. It is this kind of mediocrity acceptance that has led us to the current state we are in. What do you think?

Even if they are referring to UGA winning 1 of 3 that is too much!

History does unfortunately subscribe to that mindset --but it is time for history to be redefined.

It goes back and forth, I just hate when they talk about our current record with them when they say the rivalry doesn't matter... Look at their record with Florida, they are worse off than we are. I think we can defiantly start beating them very often and Chan has no excuse for never beating them.

Given that I've been in the stadium for the last 27 Tech-UGA games, and I've seen Tech win 7 of those, I'll say this. Winning once out of EVERY three, instead of beating them a couple of times and then losing three to seven in a row, would be a significant improvement. If we can win a third of the time over the rest of Mark Richt's career, we're going to be a happy bunch for the most part.

Sorry that this reality check had to be my first post. I'm a 20 year season ticket holder, and I love Tech football, but I'm a realist. I used to long for the day when Tech would just win more than they lose. We're they're, but if we could just beat UGA more consistently I'd be so much happier, and our ACC and national prominence goals would take care of themselves.

I have been a Jacket fan for over 50 years; and, a season ticket holder for nearly half of those years(not more due to work schedule). Accepting only one win per every three years is totally unacceptable. One thing Coach Gailey did was recruit well, we now have the athletes to compete. Eight on the All-ACC first or second team shows that to be true.He also showed that could recruit in state. Anything less than at least 5 wins over Georgee per decade should not be allowed or tolerated. Tech can be a consistent Top 25 team, compete for ACC title annually, beat the leg-humpers, and occasionally surge into the top 10. It can be done, with the right hire!!!!

Words like "accept", "allow", "tolerate" are kinda stupid in this context. What do they mean? Five wins per decade is "acceptable" to you. So at the end of each decade, we count em up and if we come up short, what do we do if we don't accept it? Fire the coach, drop our season tickets, kill ourselves, what?

I'm a Tech fan. I have no choice but to "accept" what happens. I'm not going to become a Dawg.

Let's beat them once and then talk about two in a row.

WRONG! It does not go back and forth--it used to go back and forth but since 1970 we are 10-28 against Georgia. We have won no more that 3 games in any decade. We have won back to back games only twice in that span and won three in a row only once. We have lost seven in a row twice and another run of six losses in a row.
