Hey all, I just put in a request for tickets to the CFA Peach Bowl and was wondering how this works. For one thing, it charged me a $1 to make the transaction (what?). Also, I stupidly chose mail as the delivery method. Now, does this mean that it will automatically bill me the full amount once the bowl is announced or do I have to once again confirm the order at which point I can change the delivery method?

This is my first time doing this, so I was just curious...

GO JACKETS:biggthumpup:!

They can't charge you for the tickets until they actually get announced. If and when they get selected for the CFA you will at that point be charged for your tix.

So I guess that means I will have to call them up to change it to will call?

Lower level tix are only $70? I'll wait to see my Christmas bonus, but I don't see how anyone can pass that up.

I called today as I was walking to class. I'll tell you what they told me at the bottom of the post.

I reserved four endzone ones.

Alright, they told me that by reserving we are guaranteed tickets. This isn't a "get in line" type thing. They said they've already sold out the lower level sideline allotment and that's why it's not on the list. She said "As soon as the CFA bowl is announced, we will charge you for your tickets the next business day".

Sounds like I'm traveling to Atlanta with those words.

I reserved 2 lower endzone tix today.

They are going like hot cakes.

I refuse to drive 5 hours to sit in the endzone...looks like I will go the "new" old-fashioned way...internet scalpers on StubHub, GoTickets, TicketLiquidator, etc.

Glad I reserved mine weeks ago.

That being said the sidelines are also sold to general public and given/sold to sponsors. People will be selling alot of these.

the "corporate" seats are the best and they are thousands of them "comp'd" for sponsors who turn around and sell them.

I got in the Peach Bowl in 2000 for free because a sponsor did not even care to sell them. I sat on the 20 yard line about 25 rows up.

That is the way to go and get better seats..

That is how my Chikfila friend is getting me mine, if you know someone that owns a chikfila franchise you could get one from him, they are allotted so many tickets.

Good idea.

Is Chick-fil-A a sponsor?

Cute, but if you had any smarts to you (deep down in that engineering mind) you would walk into one of those Chikfila's down there in the panhandle and make friends with the owner/mgr. and get you a couple of tickets, a heck of a lot cheaper than going to stubhub.. I was trying to give you a pointer on getting some good tickets a whole lot cheaper than stubhub, knowing how it works as I do, the Chikfila Franchise owners get a large allotment for the game and they usually sell them to friends, being you are down there 6 hrs. away it should be a little easier to coax some of those tickets away unlike the store owners up here that are closer to the Georgia Dome and will most likely have a higher demand from friends/family to attend the game.

I've been to a couple of Peach Bowls in the last few years --same type of seats-- didn't pay for any of the tickets.

Despite that, I'll be purchasing mine this year if GT indeed gets an invite.

Same with me. The seats might not be as good or cheap, but I want to make damn sure that GT sells out their official allotment. It kind of sucks that a lot of Tech fans won't be doing the same.

We are already in the process of trying to get more allotment.

I don't have alot of money so the coca-cola package at $15 a ticket seem to be my way unfortunately. BUT I DON'T GIVE A DAMN, I JUST WANNA BE THERE! AND I WILL!

Just curious, is one side of the stadium ACC and the other SEC, or is it mixed up? Does it mention somewhere which side is which? I have the option of getting tickets in section 139 but have no idea if it's an ACC section or not.
