Excellent article in the AJC on Ga Tech's much higher than the NCAA's academic requirements. Finally, a piece that sets things straight as to what is required. Every Tech fan should read this.
Only GT & Bos Coll, from the ACC, got all their signed LOIs actually into school. Nice list on everybody else's NQs, etc, & where they are winding up at.
This is just a very well done item that Mike Knobler needs a huge 'pat-on-the-back' for.

If we can hold onto all of our stud instate verbals and the same story could be written next year, I will be immediately impressed with the improvements of Ga. High School education.

If so, after my excitement levels off a little bit in mid March, the inevitable question of what in the heck were we not doing the last 15 years will dawn on me.

The answer lies somewhere in the fact that we have a very good "sales force" now.

I've always said that I'd love to see recruiting ranking of players that actually got into each school.

Interesting to see some of the other schools on that list ...Stanford, Northwestern and B.C. in particular, all well-respected academic institutions. As is GT I might add.

Very true. On that thought, it's a shame what has been going on under the "leadership" of Al Groh at UVA. Not just this year's recruit problems either.
I am certainly not a cavalier fan, but I do admire Tom Jefferson.

I would bet that many Whoville snobs are none too happy.

This is an excellent article. Thank you very much for posting this. It pleases me that we recruit people who can not perform on the field, but can also perform at one of the top universities in the South.
