Guys, the ACC is stinking up the bowl season

Been in close games, GT-LSU excepting. So they are, in general, not bad losses and don't look that bad. But I'd rather see more wins.
 
Screw the ACC. The only team I care about is ours.

Honestly, who freaking cares how "the ACC" does? I don't get this whole conference pride thing.

My thoughts exactly.

Yeah, we are going to have to listen to another year of ACC SUCKS BLAH BLAH BLAH.

But who really cares? If we want real respect it will come from US winning OUR games.
 
And another thing: the fact that the ACC sucked never bothered Florida State when they were winning 11 games a year.

Playing in a bad conference decreases the "value" of conference wins and increases the "doubt" from conference losses. It plays into how teams are ranked in the BCS thereby affecting the ability to be invited to the title game.

When was the last time you witnessed a team from the Sun Belt Conference win a national title?

It would be nice to have ACC become one of those conferences where the conference championship game actually matters and is considered to be a preview of the national title game like how the SEC Champ game was this year between Alabama and Florida.

GT was 5-3 this year in the ACC. I'm hoping that record was because the ACC was full of good teams instead of full of bad teams.

In fact, they were winning 11 games every year partly because the rest of us sucked. Add Va Tech, Miami, and BC to the mix, let Wake improve, and the whole conference be decent except for Duke, and the 'Noles no longer finish top 5 year after year.

How conferences do is fine conversation fodder. But, your team will be evaluated by what it does on the field. Wins by BC, UNC, and State would not have made our loss less embarassing. And, our dismal bowl performance does not tarnish the wins by FSU and Wake. They will not be hurt in the final poll because their conference partner lost 38-3.
 
I think the acc is playing like we should expect it to.

It is a bad conference, especially in FB, and winning in it is nothing to hang your hat on.

We need to toughen up our schedule to give our S/As a continuing learning curve to help beat ugag.

Not Army, JState, G-W, uconn, but truly tough teams that will help pay benefits in the long run.

I have lost my edge....need to get it back. I do not have any "cheering" left for today.

I was still screaming for our OL and defense to hit somebody in the fourth quarter last night and paper freakin airplanes whizzed by my head. It was surreal to hear our fans cheering something at the same time our QB was dropped for a loss! :mad:
