Half-time interview with CPJ

I wish that adidas hadn’t put block Yellow Jackets down the side of that hat. That was a deal breaker for me.

Still feels weird hearing Wes' voice on our games. I'm like, here we go. Oh, wait a minute...

replay of game is about to start on fox sports south for anyone interested
If you have FSS, get the Fox Sports Go app and you can watch it, as well. Same with Braves games.

I mean, dang.

The it is what it is of 2018.

Get hype.

Watched the replay and we looked better on TV than i remember in person.

Same observation. Would have liked more jerseys in the backfield, but I don't recall a single blitz, and we certainly didn't get pushed backward. 2nd and 3rd levels swarmed to the ball.

The one blitz I know we ran had Campbell coming from the back side and resulted in him chasing the QB down for a sack.

This.

I was out of town and didn't get to follow the game live. My son was texting me updates, I checked the score on espn app, and checked here a few times. I DVR'd the game and watched it last night, fully expecting to not be overly impressed with anything. I didn't see nearly as many negatives as I thought I would based on what I've read here, and I also saw some bright spots. Here are some noteworthy things I noticed:

-TaQuon didn't look sharp early, but seemed to be starting to settle in before he took that shot on his leg. He never was crisp after that.

-1st drive looked how I expected we should look, 2nd drive fumble. 1st game of season, I can deal with that as long as we clean that up.

-Jalen Camp looks like a beast. That one handed grab was ridiculous, and they missed the call on the field and in the booth. His heel would have been out of bounds but from every angle I saw, I don't think his heel ever touches the ground. Only his toes do in-bounds, and he has control of the ball with one hand.

-Late 2nd quarter, Benson was running like a man possessed. It took at least 3 to bring him down most plays. If he and Mason continue to push each other for playing time at B, we may have something special back there this year.

-Kaleb Oliver looked great on defense. Probably one of the best games I've seen on D out of a freshman in a while. Tackles well in space.

-Scoop and score was great. Wasn't a fluke or a bad handoff, our defense actually created that.

-Thomas looks like a giant returning punts. His long stride makes it look like he's in slow motion but I liked the way he looked back there.

-King missed his FG attempt, but it was a 50 yarder and it landed in the front row of seats. It just didn't hook as much as he expected it to. If he can dial it in, that's better leg strength than we've had in some time. Usually 50yds has been near the end of our range. Doesn't seem to be so now if he can be accurate.

-Tobias Oliver scored. They just flat out missed that. We didn't cover according to vegas, but we actually should have.
