What is the deal with nesbitt? Jaybo will crap himself in death valley. Is nesbitt getting any better. Dont want to push it because hamstrings are dangerous to mess with and we could be screwed if we bring him back too early!!

Does anyone ahve any inside info on this matter? Will he be 100% going into clemson?

Dude, just go to ajc.com and check tech's sports section.

And let's be a little fair. Jaybo is 2-0 as an 18 year old freshman. Do we need to add the crap all over himself comment?

I believe he also has the same exact amount of starting experience in Death Valley as Josh does. Although to be fair, Josh did show he can step up in a hostile environment when we played VT. I think Jaybo would be just fine in Death Valley though...CPJ won't let his players get scared or rattled.

Um, didn't we just post back to back 400+ yard games with Jaybo running the offense?

Wow this will be a lot of our guys' first trip to Death Valley...

For those who have been to both Lane and DV, which is more intimidating? The noon game may actually help bring the atmosphere down to earth.

Lane stadium by far. DV may get loud, but Lane gets disorienting.

Maryland won there. What makes you think we won't play with poise, win or lose? WE are 4-1 folks. 5-1 after Saturday. Do you doubt the transition of our program, or the ability for CPJ to prepare his players. I think Nesbitt will be OK, and I like our chances better w/ him, but I am not worried about Jaybo not executing there. Sure he would have a tougher time, but noone has shown they can stop us when we are executing at even a 3/4 level.

I believe that Jaybo gets nervous because he wants to do a good job and execute properly. I really don't think he's scared of a bunch of idiots yelling about purple pants and some old guy's rock. Hopefully our defense will see to it that they'll be doing nothing but booing after the first couple of series. I believe Shaw or Nesbitt could win us any game if they execute at or near their potential. Jaybo has done damn good for being nervous. Ask Bebe.

Death Valley is louder on individual plays, beginning of the game, etc. But as far as continuous noise the whole game, Lane is way louder. Clemson gets quiet if you're moving the ball.

Can we give Jaybo a freakin break already? I mean what does the kid have to do to earn a little respect around here?

The fans are in the stands. CPJ is on the sideline. This is the cause of Jaybo's pre-game jitters. I would not worry about the IPTAY crowd. I would worry about making Coach Johnson angry.

Honestly, I can understand wanting Josh to be ready for Clemson. I think all Tech fans agree. But this "Jaybo will crap himself in death valley" may be the most ignorant comment I've seen on any board in quite a long time. You have just labeled yourself as a fool.

Jaybo will not crap himself in Death Valley, but he will not gain as many yards as Nesbitt will.

I just hope Nesbitt and Jaybo can get in a few snaps this week to just get the timing back. Let Booker and Dykes do the rest.

Crowd at DV will be weak at best if they lose on Thursday night. these fans will be focusing on getting TB the hell out of town. Ive seen this many times with CU- stad not filling up, and the ones that do have no heart when the reality kicks in that their dream season has imploded. There season will be over this thursday night IMO.

He'll be nervous as hell. Nervous enough to mess up his reads or fumble even. Reggie crapped himself in death valley in 2006 and he was a 4 year starter.

FALSE! Reggie had an injured ankle for the Clemson game in 2006, not the jitters. He didn't exactly have the jitters in Auburn in 2005 or in Death Valley in 2004 either.

2006 was a night game with #12 vs #13 and major pressure. Maybe it was the all-purple? :o

funny thing is a loss may be better than a win. a loss on a thursday night game in front of the nation could possibly deject this team so much that it'll be difficult for them to get excited about a noon game that doesn't "matter" as much as the game they just lost.

can't believe i just typed that garbage of a sentence.:drink1:

i'm going to shut up now. added quotations to make it worse.
