Guys, we have a real treat for you on this week's episode of BuzzTalk. I would have linked to the "Rodney from Watkinsville" thread but this was simply too good to be overlooked.

As National Playoffs are in Tech's line of site, we went out and got an interview with the ideal person who knows about National Championships in our recent history. Coach Bobby Ross joins the show this week for an exclusive 30 minute interview where he discussed details of the 1990 team, his time in the NFL and his thoughts on the National Playoff landscape today.

You can listen at our archive here at:

Enjoy!

Good stuff! I was glad to see Boss Ross at the VPISU game last season. I shook his hand and told him how glad I was to see him. He said he was glad to see me, too. I was a student at Tech while Ross was the HC. Coach Ross was always very approachable and a joy to talk to. I'm sure he was the same way with other students.

Yes, Coach Ross is a joy to speak with. He now resides in his home state of Virginia so he typically makes the UVA/VT games when we are on the road. He will be on the Flats for the Thursday VT game this year as GT is celebrating the 25 year anniversary that evening. Should be an electric time to be on the campus.

Truly. He had such a hard time his first couple of years. I remember the Bobby Ross Show on tv and he looked like absolute hell. And I think it was Art Whatisname that was the host and he had to drag everything out of him. Bobby, in his drawl, would refer to Art as "Oit." And totally acted like he'd rather be put out of his misery. But hand it to him he never quit. I just think it was a little bogus that he jumped to the NFL instead of sticking around. Probably had something to do with the hill.

You should have heard him say "To hell with Georgia" in 1987. It was like pulling teeth.

Awesome, can't wait to listen. Thanks for doing these!
