Hatcher Press Conference Tomorrow?

I hope we get this guy. right now I'm trying not to buy into the rumors about PJ.

If PJ, decides to not take the GT offer, Hatcher will be a great and possibly better option.

Actually all 3 guys, Johnson, JN, Hatcher are all great options imho..

Groundhog day. Only this time is a press conference and not a team meeting.

Hmm...maybe to say he's staying? He was allegedly suppose to say that at the team meeting yesterday but then didn't...maybe he's getting tired of waiting around w/ his ass in the wind.

Maybe we have already told him that we offered PJ.
 
I sure hope is Hatcher, because if PJ is our guy and he ends up running the TO all the time (he could be tempted given our QB situation) if he were to ever leave we can expect a painfull transition period to the next HC like Nebraska's. I hope is Hatcher, even if he gets in as a secondary choice afte PJ takes the cash from SMU.
 
Probably a press conference to announce he is leaving for Arkansas.
 
I think he's joking. Everyone is leaving for Arkansas nowadays.

IF IF IF this is true, it tells me there are two possibilities:

1) Chris Hatcher is staying at GSU, no matter what.
2) Chris Hatcher is the second choice here at GT. This goes along with what both demjackets and a source on Rivals has said. Since the press conference is tomorrow, CH has been told that GT is forcing PJ to make a decision sometime between now and then, and if PJ says no, CH is in.

Problem with scenario 1: why wait until tomorrow if that is the case?
Problem with scenario 2: would CH be content with being the second choice; why have a presser at GSU if he's becoming HC at Tech; you could substitute SMU for GT in that scenario and it be exactly the same situation.
 
The press conference is probably bogus...the source cited is an employee at the Statesboro Herald.

He would actually be the third choice, if everything else we have heard is true. Even still, I would take a 3x salary hike, the promotion from a divisional unit up to corporate, and I would use it as a chance to prove myself. Being 3rd choice doesn't mean you weren't liked...let's face it, with any job hire, you can pretty much ALWAYS find someone better out there - but timing is everything...sound to me like he just didnt have the experience we were looking for right now, so we picked experience over him. If exprience doesnt work out for us, we take the bigger risk...
 
If Hatcher has a press conference before Tech announces it's choice for HC, Then Hatcher is not our man !

Yeah, I forgot to add at the end of my post that I don't think it's true.

Both good points, I was playing devils advocate to my own post there.
 
This all depends on where the News Conference takes place if it is at GSU he is staying. No reason to have a press conference there to announce you are leaving you just go to the press conference to announce the new coach at GT.
 
Rule #1: never go to m-board for school from which you are trying to hire coach for information regarding coach search
 
Sorry to bring up an old thread, but was this ever confirmed or denied?
