MTSU versus Hawai'i. Former GT A-back Dennis Andrews is WR #20 for MTSU - he's getting targeted a lot, with a TD and a pick that the defender wrestled away from him since I've been watching. It's 14-14 in the 1st quarter. It's not good football, but so far, it's entertaining football.

Whoever is calling this game with Mark May (Chris Cotter, maybe?) just dropped a "The Institute" reference - mentioned that Tom Luginbill (who's doing the halftime show) was his former classmate at The Institute. I like it, even if I have bad memories of watching Tommy Lowenbrau play on the Flats.

Andrews is a great athlete. Could've seen him competing to start at QB next season. Guess I hope he'll be happy with a MTSU degree. :dunno:

He'd be out of eligibility, right? According to the MTSU site, he redshirted in '12, played for us in '13-'14, sat out in '15, and played for MTSU in '16.

Yes, the Cotters (Chris and Tim) were fraternity brothers of mine. Good guys. Chris is usually good for a few pro-Tech references every now and then. Luginbill is a douche.

Merry Christmas ööööers!

Andrews with a play at wildcat that went nowhere, but he caught a TD on next play.

Those relying on a degree, instead of their own work ethic/ motivation, are going to be sorely disappointed as life progresses.

Spoken like a community college admissions officer.

My degree serves as a representation of my work ethic. Work ethic won't make you eligible to sit for the PE. It won't make you eligible to be a doctor. There are some professions where a degree is a prerequisite.

I agree success is a combination of both but my degree has set me apart for several past job opportunities.

My suggestion is to get a good degree AND work hard/smart. Produce a good body of work and you will be almost unbeatable in the job market.

Don't discount a name brand education. It will get you into job opportunities that others will never even hear about.
